The next day, messengers rode out to every part of the kingdom. They knocked on every door and asked to see the young ladies of the house.

At Cinderyella’s house, Madame Joy ushered the messenger in and called her daughters.

The glass slipper was brought to the two sisters. They fought over who was first, then moaned and groaned as they tried in vain to force it on.

“Oof! Whenever did my feet grow so long?” cried Agnes in exasperation.

“Argh! And mine so fat?” sobbed Abigail in desperation.
